Have you always wanted to teach English but don’t have a degree? Why not challenge yourself in 2020? We are now taking registrations for our next 2 week 120 Hour Intensive English 1 International TESOL/TEFL Certificate course in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to prepare you to teach English to adults or children locally or internationally! (Includes 50 hours of pre-course assignments).
This course will be taught by Dr. Jennifer Lawson. Dr. Lawson teaches in the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Education. She is the author and originator of the Hands-On series, which includes resources for teachers of English Language Learners. She is a former classroom teacher, resource/inclusive education teacher, consultant, and principal and also serves as a Trustee for the St. James-Assiniboia School Division in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Dr. Lawson is actively involved in the Mission to Mexico project, which supports education in communities around Puerto Vallarta.

Tuition – $1,200.00 CDN ($950 USD)
There is an opportunity to do a follow-up practicum placement for a fee after receiving your certificate in Mexico.The course includes a total of 120 hours: 50 hrs. of pre-course assignments, 70 hours of in-class lessons, as well as course assignments and homework. The course meets the requirements of TESOL International and meets or exceeds the requirements of TESL Canada Program Standards. Each TESOL student is required to prepare and present in an actual classroom situation during the course.
The maximum number of students in each English 1 International TESOL Certificate Course is 10.
It is recommended that you either have a minimum of Grade 12 or you are a mature student and have fluent English speaking skills meeting international requirements. In order to teach in some countries you will require a degree.
